Brand new year!

Well here we are in a brand new year already. 2008 was a crazy year for me. And I am sure that 2009 will be just as if not more crazy. Lets see.... 2009 started with tons and tons of snow. I guess that is what I get for moving out to the toolies. Anyway the family is doing good. Emily turned 15 that day after christmas. We had alot of fun, she wanted to do a "Kid Themed Party" So we went and bought gag gifts, party hats; everything was done in black and white because she originally wanted to do a cow theme but we couldn't find anything that cows on it. She wanted to play pin the tail on the cow, and of course they don't make that, it is pin the tail on the donkey. So Shelby drew a cow for her and boy oh boy did she do a great job.

here is a picture of it

Isn't it just the cutest cow you have ever seen.

Anyway after playing pin the tail on the cow, the kids played on the Wii that we got for christmas. We had a contest on the bowling part. After the bowling, we lost power for a couple of hours. That was oh so much fun........

So now here we are in 2009. Ava is growing like a week. She is crawling all over the place, no more military crawl, she is full on up on all fours moving like crazy. She is pulling herself up on things and trying to walk now. The girls have not gone back to school after christmas break yet because we are having problems with flash flooding and also the roofs of the schools have not been shoveled off, not to mention the roads are so icy. I can't beleive that Ava is going to be 1 in 2 months. Wow, how time flys by; can't beleive that in 1 month I will be married for 1 year already.

ok as promised here are some pics........

What a week

Wow, what a week we have had! The snow has been falling like crazy. Pictures are coming soon for your viewing pleasure. Lets see what has been going on in the past 2 weeks? Well Ava is literally all over the place with her military crawling. She is starting to do a little bit of regular crawling, she'll get it.... When she is up on her knees, she tries to do a head stand. (Still trying to get a picture of it so I can share) Now she is teething, HOLY MOLY is she a crank pot.

The two older girls got to start christmas break earlier than planned. We got snowed in (will get pictures). On thursday, Dec 18th all of us girls were at home - SNOWED IN!!! The plows came by and burmed us in, but Jeremy came home in the backhoe and saved the day.

We got so much snow that Jeremy had to go on the roof and shovel all day long on sunday. Pictures coming soon!!!! There was a total of around 4 feet. This is a picture of the back deck.

Christmas is coming in a couple of days and I am still not ready. I didn't get any of my christmas cards out, so I will have to shoot for New Years cards like last year. Ok so I will keep you posted on how the day goes and will post pictures later.

Well today is December 2nd and we are three weeks away from Christmas and Emily's birthday. I have Connor and Ryan done. Other than that I have not even started to buy any christmas gifts yet. I will do what I do every year and power shop at the last minute. Christmas cards aren't even done yet. Right now I am just trying to get completely settled into our new dwelling. We have hung the girls shelves, so their rooms are done, I did however hang a few pictures in the dining room and living room. We are so very thankful for all that God has provided us this time of year in such hard times. We have a roof over our heads, we have food in our bellies. We are going to try to put the rest of the pictures up this week and try to get the tree up this weekend. We will enjoy this time that we have together.

Oh, Ava started to crawl last night. her dad thought he would put her on the table and coax her with a bowl full of food and wouldn't you know it, it worked. We then put her on the floor and away she went, in the army crawl-pulling herself with just her arms. She would grab the carpet and pull. She is so funny, she also flipped over and pushed herself with her feet. She is very determined to get to where she wants to go. Christmas ought to be fun with her being mobile.
